A space station is about to disintegrate. There is room for one person in an escape pod which will preserve that person’s life until a rescue vehicle can arrive. There are three persons left on the station: a 20 year old student (that is you), a 50 year old scientist and a young child. Who should be given the space in the escape pod, or should the three draw lots and decide randomly?
Answer ...
The preference must be given to the child because both student and scientist can escape themselves after disintegrated of space station but the child can not escape himself . Both the student and scientist has the physical energy and mental power as well to escape escape themselves ..bu the child neither has physical strength nor thinking or mental power to save himself. If there is a little bit chance to escape the lives of all three then it is better to escape all instead of one ..but according to question is there is room for only one person in the escape pod which will preserve that person’s life until a rescue vehicle can arrive. So the first preference must be given to a child instead of other two persons ( me:student and a scientist). So room should be given to the child in a escape pod to preserve the life of a chid.
This is a reasoning question to check the ability of a student. Hope you got your answer if you need some more information about your question feel free to ask...thank you
