adolescent meaning 'to grow up'.....it is a transitional phase of growth and development between childhood and adulthood. usually  it describes the years between ages 13 and 19 BUT can be early

in this age group due to sudden harmonal changes the mentality of a adolescent is constantly changing towards the physical, mental and behavioural changes...

Commonly a youth in the adolescent period affect the certain health related issues like....Alcohol and drugs, Exercise and nutrition, Mental health, Early pregnancy and childbirth, Suicidal tendency etc...

so on basis of impact of the health related issues in many countries makes the policies or conduct some sort of effective programs geared towards addressing adolescent health issues....

some examples are...

1. Child marriage policies/strategies. .... in most of the countries according to the law should set the age of marriage at a minimum of 18 years for both boys and girls and it is related to rights of children and adolescents.
