1) A leader is someone who foresees the things and gets the things done efficiently and effectively. Leadership is an important aspect of managing. It is the ability to lead effectively is one of the keys to being an effective manager, also undertaking the other essentials of managing- doing the entire.

A leader must instil values - whether it be a concern for quality/honesty and calculated risk-taking or for employees and customer. To be a good leader, one should possess a certain quality.

(a) The leader should have good amount for patience.

(b) The leader should be empathetic in nature.

(c) He should be an active listener to what others say/concern is.

(d) A good leader should be reliable in whatever he is engaged in.

(e) He should be creative to handle any situation that prevails.

(f) He should always be a positive thinker.

(g) Effective feedback should be attained by the leader so that to evaluate the current scenario of the company.

(h) Timely communication is another skill that is essential.

(i) A good leader should have the ability to build a team.

(j) He must be flexible to working conditions.

(k) He should have an ability to teach and mentor others.

3) Based on the skills you listed and your example posted, which of these skills are communication-related?

For effective leadership, communication is the base. Without proper communication, nothing can be done effectively. If we take Martin Luther, he was a motivator who was an effective communicator. Motivation is a way of communication that encourage one person to improve the work done.

Same in the case of Bill Gates, he is a successful leader who paves way to creativity through efficient communication.

Even though communication is an essential part of leadership, this communication is an interpersonal skill that is present in other skill sets too.

Like -

(a) Communication is essential in decision making, once the decision is finalized, it is important to communicate it properly.

(b) Delegation of authority and responsibility cannot be done without a proper channel of communication.

(c) Feedback is a result of effective communication
