The differences between Bing and Google Webmaster Guidelines:
Bing Webmaster Guidelines:

* They describe only some of the forms of manipulative, inappropriate, or misleading behaviors that are most widespread.
* They embrace social signals i.e., social media networking websites or platform as a ranking signal as a part of its algorithms.
* Different from Google, Bing provides a complete checklist for Bing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices that are available on the Bing webmaster guidelines page.
* The guidelines define how Bing finds and indexes your websites, asks the website developers or owners to help Bing find all the site owners' webpages, general sitemap guidelines, it explains how Bing ranks website owners' content, and importantly explains on abuse and examples of things to avoid.

Google Webmaster Guidelines:
* Google officially does not use social media networking websites or the platform as a ranking signal or factor, or simply social signals a part of its algorithms.
* It provides general guidelines, quality guidelines, basic principles, specific guidelines, and good practices to be followed.

The similarities between Bing and Google Webmaster Guidelines:
* The guidelines help users and the website companies understand how Bing finds, indexes, and ranks websites.
* Google focuses on backlinks' quality than its volume, per anecdotal and empirical evidence. Even Bing utilizes backlink information in more or less the same as Google per Bing's webmaster guidelines and anecdotal reports.
* Requirements of both the search engines are very similar.
* Following their webmaster guidelines will not rank you high for long in any of their free listings.
* They both state website owners or creators should make their webpages mainly for users, not for search engines.
