How does the involvement of paid staff and volunteers in program development enhance a volunteer-based program?
Volunteers help in program development in a very large as they
save a lot of money. For example, the hourly pay in Australia is
about Aud 25. The organisations can't pay that much money in every
case. Many organisations such as red cross associations work mainly
on a volunteer basis. Quality work can be done in good time which
is the prime benefit.
Skills can be ascertained
some volunteers may have some certain skills which may be
spectacular and increase the needs like some computer-based skills
etc.
Boost energy
Some volunteers may possess good energy level and this might
contribute to the betterment of the organisation. They can bring
some enthusiasm to work. New projects can be done.
With the help of volunteers, more amount of community work can be
done. People can get into a higher level of community work if
volunteers can provide a good amount of hardship in work and more
and more goals can be achieved.
Whereas in paid staff are people with certain job roles with them
and they also have a specific kind of work to do, specific time
period, labour code, liabilities etc.
