1. Either (a) If determinism is true, is a person bound to do what they actually do ? OR Is there any role for higher order desire in an account of freedom?
Please. solution should be well explain with good example to justify the question
Determinism refers to the belief that purposes that individuals ate not free to choose their action but they are bound to their action in the predefined manner.
According to this concept, everything occurs is due to the reaction of previously occurred various parallel occurring events. Hence, nothing can escape the from the effect of the previous events.
For example:
It is a true fact that individuals are controlled by their genetic combination and DNA but they have also free will besides that.
Hence, every human is responsible for his action may be right or wrong, ethical or unethical with respect to the mental and cognitive ability.
Indeterminism is opposite of determining and it states that every that occurs is not predefined and constant but dynamic and changing.
It is related with the chance.it is very important and significant with respect to the chance and free will and related to libertarianism.
For example, the quantum theory of physics tells that nothing is certain in this universe and nothing is predefined. There is much probability of the outcomes of outcomes.according to physicist and chemist, Ilya Prigogine indeterminism is a system (complex).
I agree with the indeterminism because there are many scientific pieces of evidence like quantum theory available and it supports the concept of free will and chance
If everything is predefined then crime and mass murder are justified.ther will be no law and moral it in the world.
Moral duty is the responsibility of the individual in a particular situation.
According to Rachel’s morality is conduct backed by the reason (impartial or unbiased).
It may guide action by impartial reason. Morality is one of the most important matters of giving reasons.
Right acts are always backed by good reasons. It must be impartial. to guide one's conduct by reasons.
According to my view, morality is very important in order to make any decision and action because it is a very effective tool that saves us from the consequences of the actions.
