Q.3

I disagree.

Companies should be held liable for the actions of their misbehaving employees. Sexual harassment at the workplace is a very serious matter and companies should follow very strict policies to prevent it. The workplace is company property, and therefore a company should not allow any kind of wrongdoing in the workplace. If there is a case of sexual harassment between two employees, companies should take quick and strict action. They should never allow such a thing to continue in their workplace. Sexual harassment may also happen due to reasons like the working culture of a company, and hence companies need to have a very clear strategy for preventing sexual harassment.

If a company ignores cases of sexual harassment at the workplace, things could turn very bad for the employees involved as well as for the company. Therefore, companies should create a culture where employees are fully aware of the consequences of sexual harassment. Employees should know that if they indulge in such actions, it would harm the company's image as well as their career.

Q. 4

In today's age of globalization, a large number of people travel and work all across the world. Companies try to get the best pool of talent from all over the globe. Hence there is a lot of diversity in the workplace. Employees of different nationalities, races, religions, etc work at the same workplace. This is because companies want to be highly efficient and thus require the best resources. Also, diversity adds a lot of value to companies.

When a person works in a foreign country, he or she may find other employees in the workplace from a totally different culture. If such an employee does not feel comfortable in the workplace and feels isolated, it would adversely affect his or her morale and productivity. Therefore, companies need to create a culture of inclusiveness. People from different countries, races, religions, etc should be treated the same. All such employees should feel that they are a part of the company and that they are equally valued. In a culture of inclusiveness, employees can achieve the best results.

Hence, diversity and inclusiveness are like two sides of a coin and it becomes very important to consider them together and give equal importance to both of them.

To accomplish diversity and inclusiveness simultaneously, companies need to have clearly defined policies. Diversity must be promoted, but all employees should be treated as equals. There should be no discrimination between employees. Companies should create strict rules and penalties for discrimination so that inclusiveness is followed. Also, they should have a culture where more number of diverse teams are formed.
