1. There are different types of sexual harassment women face both in home and work place. There are laws for the prevention of the sexual harassment. If there is any charge against sexual harassment the police take rapid steps as early as possible. The act is to ensure the protection of the women in the private and public place. The act is based on the equal rights of men and women.
2. In the reputed companies there is special cell for preventing sexual harassment. They conform to the laws. Besides, there are special branch in the crime section to prevent the sexual harassment.
3. In the big multinational companies there is special investigation committee and the committee need to submit report within few days. The victim can appeal to the police. In such case the penalty may range upto 3 years imprisonment with penalty.
4. Sexual harassment may occur for gender discrimination. The penalty is the same. On the other hand, if there is racial discrimination, then the penalty is more.
5. The difficulty of this act is to prove the offense. There is lack of evidence and in most of the cases the accused person is free for the lack of evidence.
