Planning is basically deciding how the following process or any action will be executed.Important decisions are taken in the process of planning.Like what resources will be used,decisions regarding expenditure and finances.Goals are being set up.
Organizing is basically using the resources in a manner decided in the planning stage,whether it be financial resources,human power,physical resources and all.
Controlling is basically motivating the staff to do their respective assigned tasks and motivating them and then comparing the actual output from the expected one or targeted one.
Influencing is again associated with how the senior level people are dealing with the staff/employees,how much the employees are feeling motivated to do the work.
According to me the most important function is basically the planning function.As if proper planning about everything will be done in advance,half the targeted project is done there and then only.
