Organizing :-

Organizing is a systematic arrangements of group of people, departments, work and resources in an enterprise which works together for an objective.

Controlling :-

Controlling is a process of setting standards to reach a goal, progress and to take necessary steps to correct any fault.

Relationship between organizing and controlling :-

Organizing is utilizing its firm's resources and materials systematically to achieve a desired goal. And during that process of achieving goal, controlling process detect any fault in the process and take necessary steps to correct it. Also it helps organization to set a benchmark for reaching its objective.

Difference between output control and behavior control :-

Output control is the settings of goals or standards by the managers or some higher level employees which according to them can best response the organization's efficiency and quality. Outpout control directly involves and influences the results.

Behavior control is the controlling of employees' behavior by the managers. Managers need to notice if any worker oppose the objective of the organization or may be the working process. It is done by monitoring their behavior or by encouraging them to achieve their goal by supervising them. Behavior control indirectly influences the result.

Controls :-

a) Hospital :-

In hospital, Bureaucratic control is used as in this contol nurses or hospital representatives can reach quickly to the patients for their needs. It is contolled by only top higher authority.

b) The United States Navy :-

In U.S. Navy, Regulative control is used. In this type of control standard policies and procedures are maintained. It totally rely on virtual control, where the Navy army are sent to different geographical locations and they can only meet their family once or twice a year. It rely on written policies.

c) City Police force :-

City police force uses Normative control. This type of control doesnot depend upon written policies. The action is totally based upon the behavior of the other person as it is seen in police force. Though there is no formal written document but still a disciplinary action is taken against any offence in force.

Organizational Culture :-

It is the employees' belief and behavior that comprises with the different social and psychological environmental workplace. It varies from organization to organization.

How organizational culture affect employees :-

It totally depends on how an organizational culture is made. It may either be positive or negative in nature.

  • In a friendly and positive workplace employers make employees feel as they are a part of the organization's growth. So automatically they will feel motivated and can give their best work in return. In this way employees retain also increase.
  • In some unethical workplaces, employees feel like labour for the employers. In those workplaces, employees feel demotivated as they lack interest in organization's targets. So automatically they reduce the quality of work. They also thinks of detain the organization.
  • In positive organizational culture, employees are frank and they are more involve in making decisions and they share opinions among themselves.
  • When employees get a knowledgeable environment they feel satisfied from inside which boosts their quality performance as well. They need to feel worthy enough for the organization.
