in 6 or more sentences answer the following question. What do Functional, Conflict, and Symbolic Interactionion theorist say about organizations?
Symbolic interactionist theorist directs sociologists to determine the symbols and details of everyday life. The importance of symbols in the day to day life and the way people react to the symbols are the part of the theory. According to this theory, people add meaning to the respective symbols and then they proceed further as per the subjective interpretation of the symbols. It provides serious ideas about how people act; determine their own individual meaning to their own actions and symbols and of others too. Critics claim that this theory reduces its pace and influence of social forces on the interactions of the individuals.
According to the functionalist theorists, each aspect of society is interdependent to each other. This interdependency contributes to the functioning of society as a whole. The contribution of each participant of the society has an equal amount of role to play for the goodwill of each other. Each member of the society has some role to play and become an active part in the society. Critics give their argument that this theory neglects the negative functions of society. This theory doesn’t make the members active participant rather is left on their action.
The conflict theorists give their argument about the negative aspects of the society. It talks about the conflicted, negative and ever-changing nature of the society. They challenge the status quo, encourage social change and believe that the rich people force social order on the poor. The theorist argues that the unequal groups usually have conflicting values and ideas which cause competition against each other.
