Project Scope Management includes following three important factors -

Planning - Planning mainly deals with defining the activities or task which needs to be done to achieve success. The Planning process includes collecting required information related to the project, information can be collected by feedback, interviews etc. After collecting data it assign what needs to be achieved and then developing work breakdown structure. Example if we are producing Car , then the planning process includes what kind of car we need to produce , how we will produce that car, etc.

Controlling - This process involves tracking the process , approving or disapproving the changes required in the project. Controlling process helps in analyzing and determining cost, time and quality of the product., For example - We are manufacturing the Car controls process helps in evaluating the quality , cost of production and time required to complete the project , it also helps in determining which changes in project are beneficial and which are not.

Verification - This process deals with assessing the result of the project with earlier set goals. Customers gives the feedback about the product which will determine whether the project is completed according to the planning of project. For example if we plan to give awesome car interior to the customer and we deliver that plan , then the project is success and if we are not able to satisfy customer then the project is failure.

It is important to ensure that the Project Scope Management is integrated with the other Knowledge Area processes because it helps the project in accurate and effective completion. Having alignment with other area processes ensures that the project is align to goals and objectives. It also makes sure that project is completed in defined time and cost it is very important for business . And also delivers high standard goods and services which will make customer satisfy. It will also make sure that unnecessary activities and actions during the project is eliminated.
