identify one or two provisions from the major laws and regulations governing equal employment opportunity that you believe are most challenging for organizations to adhere to.What factors should organizations considering orderto meet the requirements of these provisions?
The provision of the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is the governing body and law which is responsible for enforcing the federal laws that would make any activity illegal which is taking discrimination in the job against any employee on the basis of person's race, colour, sex, religion, age or nationality. This law talks about providing equal employement opportunities to everyone in the organisation where everyone could grow and sustain their jobs together.
Factors that organisations should consider to implement and meet the requirements of such provisions and laws are:
1. Organisational Culture: The organisation should take the factor of making and providing such an organisational culture where people could see themselves growing and being the better individual. For that, the respect of diversity and actions should be taken at large. The actions where people could see themselves getting included and where the equality prevails at all levels would make the employees satisfied while they work and make them feel empowered getting the same equal opportunities.
2. Training and Development: Also, apart from the culture the
organisation should be a living organisation. It should always make
people feel trained and developed and for that essential training
and development programs of not only technical skills but also the
diversity, inclusion and cultural skills should be provided to make
the employees understand and work together. By making this, you are
making employees take the initiative to grow and take advantage of
equal opportunities.
