Describe the four basic types of conflict and provide examples of each in a health care environment. For each of the types of conflict, provide a type of negotiation that can be utilized effectively for resolution. Explain why you feel that each is the best type of negotiation in relation to the given conflict.
Conflicts in healthcare system
Healthcare is extremely complex field, having a key target of improving the health of patients & their communities by utilizing its best resources in best way.
But at the same time there are chances of so many conflicts at the work place that is but obvious.
Hence there is need of high negotiation in this area as there are leadership, power, and other conflicts, therefore by a proper conflict management; healthcare professionals may improve the quality of their professional practice, relationships in their working environment.
Furthermore it can be by adopting various conflict management concepts and principles as well as Strategies for effective negotiation it can be solved.
What is Negotiation?
Problems can arise at any place at any time, however, when healthcare professionals disagree on how to achieve that goal.
But it should be solved by adjustment i.e. negotiation which is the best method for conflict management. And it is advisable that during negotiation, healthcare professionals must engage in honest communication with each other.
Moreover conflicts are classified into the following four types:
