It is composed of 4Cs - cleaning, cooking, chilling, cross contamination

  1. Cleaning---spreading of germs is the main cause of contamination.keeping clean of hand, kitchen , dishes where food is being served is precious. Hands are the most important through which it can spread easily.so a proper hygiene is required by ising soap or handwash.there are total 7 steps by which handwashing is being ruled out..first,apply a palmful of material in your cupped hand..second,rub hands from to palm..third,left palm over right dorsum with interlaced fingers and vice versa..fourth,palm to palm with fingers interlaced position..fifth,back of fingers with opposite fingers interlocked..sixth,rotational rubbing of right thumb clapsed in left palm& vice versa..seventh,rotational rubbing forward and backward with clapesed fingers of left hand in right hand palm.the whole process takes 20 seconds and do it before and after handling the food ....Not only keeping hand is sufficient but also keep the kitchen clean and surfaces too..For example, the Ecoli spread through contaminated food .
  2. Cooking-- this process is necessary to maintaing the safety level .when we cook the raw food like meat ,fish, seafoods the bacteria which are not thermo resistant they all are killed.....FOR example ,75 degrees Celsius is marked as safe for cooking of meats or poultry
  3. Chilling--- which means refrigerate promptly..chilling is important because in cold environment certains bacteria stops the reproduction and spread .it is mostly applicable for perishable foods like meat, poultry, beef, veal, lamb, pork and also canned foods .within 2 hours the perishable food items is refrigerate when the temperature is above degree Fahrenheit..for better implementation use freezer with an appliance thermometer.the refrigerator temp will be around 4degrees Celsius and frezzer temperature around -18 degrees Celsius. For example, canned foods are safe if they are not exposed to 90degrees Fahrenheit
  4. Cross contamination--means separation..this is the final point. Works you have done previously like cooking, chilling appropriately can be undone if you allow the cross contamination of wrong matching foods.for these all utensils and work surfaces to be cleaned between uses .different types of food needed separation .fresh meat ,beafs need to be kept at the bottom of fridge.this is important when it comes to the sense of allergies ..For example, salads may not be cooked before eaten but if comes into contact with meats the salads may be contaminated if the meat had the contamination..so the separation of each food is need when you keep that in processing. These four steps are not only helpful to prevent the foodborne illness but also for coronavirus..becuse coronavirus spread through body contacts and it is a type of droplet infection..prevention is better then cure this should be the moto.if the spread can be prevented the virus can be killed easily.
