foodborne pathogens are those pathogens( bacteria) that grow in food and cause illness and severe disease ,sometimes,they cause food poisoning      a-there are several agencies inUS that are responsible for overseeing food safety that are FDA(food and drug adminstration),FSIS(food safety and inspection service) ,CDS(centre for diseases control and prevention .the US department of agriculture and food and drug administration share primary responsiblity for overseeing the safety of the US food supply.       b-there are some food safety challenges in US such as certification for high risk foods,importer accountablity,climatic changes natural calamities ., c-top four pathogens that causes foodborne diseases in US are salmonella(cause diarrhea 1.4 million cases per year),norovirus ,clostridum and staphylococcus.      d- FoodNet ia a system in which health officials communicate with laboratories and identify new cases of diseases and reported all case ,it is an active surveillance system.
