Consider a system of particles in a volume V and in
equilibrium with a thermal bath at temperature T.
a) What is the assembly that represents the statistical properties
of the system? Give the name of the assembly and define it.
b) If the microstates of the system are classically described by
the ϕ phases in the Γ space. What is the
probability density p(ϕ) of finding the system in the microstate
phi?
c) Write the appropriate partition function to the system.
d) With which thermodynamic variable is this partition function
directly related? Write the relationship between them.
By taking A as system and A' as a heat bath .we can derive the condition accordingly.
