Evolutionary change is a change that happens in phases or increments. This kind of change takes place many times in the life of an organization. It is essential for an orgnazation to evolve continuously to be relevant in the industry.
An example of evolutionary change can be shifting the administrative tasks from inovlcving paperwork to doing it on cloud systems. These helps the organization in sotiring its data online on cloud storage and reduces the paperwork.
Revolutionary changes are those changes where a company undergoes a complete transformation and involves reconstruction of the organizational structure. This is often done to ensure that the organization survives and remains relevant when faced with an unprecedented crisis.
An example of this change would be when a company's products are on the decline stage and the company needs new leadership and strategic policies to stay relevant in the industry.
