1. Bathing- patient might not be able to get in or out of the bath or shower themselves, and they might not be able to clean themselves once they are there.

Support by PSW-

▪In the beginning, person need to be reminded to have her bath.
▪you may also need to be around in case the person has problems. You may just make sure that the person is soaping and rinsing adequately. If not, you may prompt them to do so.
▪the person may need help for some actions such as applying soap on the back, or washing the toes, or shampooing the hair. Help may be given by guiding the person’s wrist or holding the elbow to guide the arm. They often are able to do the task if you help them start the task.

2. Dressing- Client might not be able to get dressed, or they might have trouble putting on certain clothes, like socks or shoes.

Support by PSW-

▪Prepare for the activity before involving the person.
▪Explain what needs to be done in simple, easy to understand steps, leaving the person enough time to understand and do.
▪Allow him to wear clothes as much without assistance. if patient is needed than guide to wear clothes.
▪Assist him to wear shoes and tie shoe lace.

3. Eating- person might need help eating because they can’t bring the food to their mouth or use a fork and knife.

Support by PSW-

▪Assist the patient to sit in an upright position at a table in a dining room, in a chair by the bed or upright in bed. This helps with swallowing and protects the airway.
▪Eating in a dining room also makes the meal a social occasion.
▪Keep assisting as needed to hold spoon or fork.
▪Do not hurry the person during eating otherwise he will not take interest in activity.
▪Continuously clean the spilled content.
