Compare and Contrast different statistical test (2 qualitative and 2 quantitative) other than anova.

Solutions

Expert Solution

STATISTICAL TESTS:

(a) QUALITATIVE :

(i) Chi-Square Test:

The statistic is used for testing the relationships between categorical variables. The Null Hypothesis of the test is that no relationship exits on the categorical variables in the population; they are independent.

(ii) Multivariate Simple Correspondence Analysis (CA):

Multivariate Simple Correspondence Analysis of qualitative data is an explanatory data analysis technique that is used to identify the systematic relations between teo or more categorical variables. The technique applies to a contingency table of categorical variables.

(b) QUANTITATIVE:

(i) Z TEST:

Z test is a statistical test for which the distribution of the test statistic under Null Hypothesis can be approximated by a Normal Distribution. Because of the Central Limit Theorem, many test statistics are approximately normally distributed for large samples (n = sample size > 30).

(ii) STUDENT'S t TEST:

Student's t test is a hypothesis test in which the test statistic follows a Student's t - Distribution ub=nder the Null Hypothesis.
