Expert Solution

Answer: Both qualitative and quantitative research are direct research methods used to collect primary evidence in a variety of academic fields. They can be used in conjunction to gain statistical or numerical data (providing a broad overview of a subject and suggesting trends or relationships) and anecdotal evidence (adding color and potential explanations to the raw data).

A quantative analysis is based on many research and experiments which are evaluated further. It improves the understanding of nurses on the individual experiences of their patients and allows the nurse to reflectin and on action to develop strategies to improve patient’s experience of care. Quantitative Research uses measurable data to formulate facts and uncover patterns in research. Quantitative data collection methods are much more structured than Qualitative data collection methods. Quantitative data collection methods include various forms of surveys such as online surveys, paper surveys etc.

Qualitative Research is primarily exploratory research. It is used to gain an understanding of underlying reasons, opinions, and motivations. It provides insights into the problem or helps to develop ideas or hypotheses for potential quantitative research. Qualitative Research is also used to uncover trends in thought and opinions, and dive deeper into the problem. Qualitative data collection methods vary using unstructured or semi-structured techniques.

The importance of utilizing the scientific method and evidence-based research in science or when making business decisions as evidence-based research are the proper and better researched things which are tested and experimentally achieved. According to those results, if we work or take decision the chances of betterment will be more as it has been evaluated and also because it aims to provide the most effective care that is available, with the aim of improving patient outcomes.
