WHITE COLLAR CRIMES
Distinguish between the concepts of governmental crime, state crime, and political white collar crime and give an example of each.
Why has governmental crime been relatively neglected by criminologists?
Governmental crime : It is usually regarded as a political offence involving the interests of the state which are considered to ne prejudiced.
a) It is when the state violates the law , in order to achieve an objective which is improper. Governmental crime is a broad term in order to classify thr white collar crimes.
b) State crime , it happens when any sort of harmful activites are acted by the state elected official bodies. Eg : Corruption
c) Carrying out illegal activities , for their own personal interests/ benefits . Eg : Selling drugs across the country.
The reason why the governmental crime has been relatively neglected by the criminologists
a) As it is difficult ot study who is more politically powerful .
b) Studying the law which are violated , broken , the forms of harm inflicted , are too complex in nature.
c) And also , there are few members who are constant in regarding the government officials as criminals .
