The patient reports signs and symptoms of a viral infection with increasing severity. List and describe your next three (3) actions. Provide rationale for each action.
* Viral infection - is multiplication of viruses in the host body .
Symptoms of viral infection includes - cough , sore throat , body ache , fever , headache , reduced level of red blood cells , increased level of WBC .
* Coming to the nurse actions when handling the patient with viral infection .
- Patient will get admit nurse should follow strict asepsis during changing dressing : any unghygeinic substance can spread the infection more worse .
- Take care while any wound care , maintain proper steos of asepsis to avoid the risk of severity .
- Blood sample : while taking blood sample of patient be carefull to use protocol like surgical mask and disposable needles with proper sterilization and avoid contact with blood contamination . Send the blood to laboratory for the diagnosis of reports .
- Intravenous therapy : Include antibiotics throuhg intravenous , whold a proper technique and medicine to administer intravenously to avoid contamination . If in case require any cathtar therapy follow each step carefully .
- Monitor patient by all means , check patients vital sign twice a day and keep record of it , administer the drugs regularly and safely as prescribed by the doctor , with proper asespsis protocol .
