Answer: (1) There are two causes of communication anxiety that I have experienced personally namely the weak communication skills and self consciousness while speaking. As my communication skills were weak I often was not confident that others may be able to understand what I want to say. This also made me self conscious and I was not able to speak naturally and this aggravated this issue further. Therefore in order to overcome this situation, I joined a communication class. There I was taught formally about how to communicate and I was made to practice in front of an audience. This not only improved my communication skills but also provided me with confidence. I was able to overcome the issue of self consciousness through confidence and my communication anxiety gradually vanished as it kept on practicing communication.
(2) When communication goals are specific they are easy and practical to achieve. In specific goals, a focus can be created as we exactly know what we want to achieve and they are narrow. Therefore communication activities can easily be established, developed, implemented and controlled. This is not so in general communication goals where it is difficult to focus. Goal setting improves the organizational communication by creating clarity and focus during organizational communication. This helps in exactly knowing about what is to be achieved. When there is goal clarity then it is easy to develop and implement a strong communication strategy.
