(Answer) The purpose of most religions is to advocate moralistic behaviour and an improvement of character through love and compassion. However, in a multicultural and multi-religious society, different communities have a different medium to reach those moral goals.
Therefore, since the religious systems are different but, the moral goals are the same, it might be apt to have a “moral science” class instead of a religiously oriented class for the students. For instance, the class could have chapters in the curriculum that teaches equality, compassion, generosity, kindness etc. In this way, the moral implications that an education might have on the cognition of a child are not compromised and people are not offended by being taught a religion that is not their own.
The principal and director can amend the system to be compatible with all and not have to offend the religious sentiments of students through coercive actions.
