Flextime is a system that allows employees to set their own starting and stopping times. Flextime is especially appealing to organizations that have a hard time keeping good employees or that cannot easily raise salaries. It is also appealing to companies with the philosophy of giving workers as much independence as possible. Most employees prefer flextime. However, in some organizations, flextime creates conflicts between workers who get the schedules they want and those who have to work traditional hours to cover the phones. Some firms are afraid that the quality of work may suffer if employees and supervisors aren’t on the job at the same time. Record keeping may be more complicated. |

Flex time is Very beneficial for catering service companies because Having a Flex time will help employees to have decision power to choose thier working time. This can be very important decision either work for company or leave the company.For example- The catering service have 50% female employees who make food. They are not able to cook food because they have worries of thier children at home, husband etc. having flex time will make sure housewives can decide the right time to work.
Owner of Catering service company with flex time will have low cost in business and more productive work. When employees have autonomy or freedom at work then they like to work in such company with more dedication. This can lead to low employee turnover rate in Cateering service. There could be chance that Employees will work for 10 or more years in the company in future. This helps to build good working relationship with employees.
Flex time will help The owner to run the business 24/7 because when there are employees who will be coming on three different time slots then work will not be stopped unlike 9-5 jobs where all employees leave and work is done for the day. Small catering service can deliver food 24/7 with flex time. This helps the business to utilize the capacity of employees in best possible manner. There is no over capacity or under capacity of business.
I constructed the paragraph by focusing on benefits of flex time to both owner of the catering business as well as its employees. I selected this audience because there are employees like housewives, people working part time job in catering who want to balance thier personal as well as working time. This flex time is very suitable for this audience.I keep paragaprh short/concise so that audience will understand the main points or message.
