1) The main processes of Project Quality Management are:
a) Quality Planning = It involves linkage of the project with the company objectives and should go beyond time or cost parameter. It helps to establish the metrics for Quality and involves following activities:
· Reviewing project scope
· Reviewing project management plan
· Understanding environmental factors
· Identifying tools and techniques like Cost benefit analysis, Benchmarking, cost of quality etc.
· Preparing quality checklist
· Building process improvement plan
· Preparing quality baselines and metrics
b) Perform Quality assurance basis output from Quality planning = It is the check performed for the in depth analysis of process and bringing continuous improvement. The data is reviewed in terms of Accuracy, Precision, Repeatability and Reproducibility. It involves activities like:
· Process analysis
· Audits to test quality
· Implementation of corrective and preventive actions wherever required
· Updating project management plan and organizational assets
c) Perform Quality control = Once the process is well established, it is important to monitor the process to ensure it is within control. It involves activities like:
· Review using Cause and Effect diagram
· Review using Pareto chart
· Review using Control charts, Scatter diagram etc.
· Develop quality baseline
· Recommend corrective and preventive action for better control
