Project management includes resource planning, evaluation and assistance, human development and management, and physical resource management. The project team consists of a project manager, the project management team and other members of a project.

Source activities done by a project manager require documentation and are formal in nature. Team building activities are a required part of project management. A project manager officially plans the team's construction activities in advance.

The resource management process includes:

1. Identification of team members.

2. Defining roles and responsibilities.

3. Creation of a reward system.

4. Improving team performance.

5. Track team and personal performance.

6. Identify physical resources and ensure effective utilization.

In order for project managers to effectively execute projects, formal roles and responsibilities must be assigned to project team members. Projects are coordinated by the project manager and planned by the team. Project managers need to track the performance of team members. Human resource responsibility increases as the project group grow.

2. The Responsibility Assignment (RAM) matrix describes the participation of organizations, people and various roles in completing a project, task or delivery. Used by function managers, program managers (PMs) to clarify roles and responsibilities in projects and processes. Request for Proposal (RFP) may require contractor RAM.

RAM is also called responsible and responsible advisory and information matrix (RACI).

RAM can determine the responsibility of the project team for each component of the Job Sharing Structure (WBS). It can also be used to identify roles, responsibilities, and freedom levels for specific activities within a workgroup. The matrix format shows all activities related to one person and everyone related to the activity. This assures that only one person is responsible for each task to avoid turmoil.
