Products amd services promotion is most common form of marketing.  

Five Promotional Packages :

  • Advertising : The products and services can be advertised in the different channels like newspapers, magazines, radio, television, hoardings and online etc. for the promotion.  
  • PERSONAL SELLING PR TELEMARKETING : Effective personal selling relies on good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent products and services knowledge is required for this technique.  
  • PUBLICITY : It is build through giving interviews to media and from word of mouth.  
  • Sales Promotion :  It includes marketing the product and services using coupons, competitions and contests.  
  • Direct Marketing : It involves sending letters, emails, pamphlets and brouchers to individual target clients, often followed by personal selling and telemarketing.  

Any combination of these can be used to target the customer.

Five Distributional Channels

  • Zero level Channel : In this distributional channel, the product or services is directly sold by manufacturer to customer . Manufacturers - Consumers
  • One level Channel :  In this channel a mediator called retailer is also introduced. Therefore, the product or services are firstly sold to retailers and then from them to retailers. Manufacturers - Retailers - Consumers.  
  • Two level Channel : In this distributional channel , two mediators are there between manufacturers and customers named as wholesaler and retailers.  Manufacturers - Wholesalers - Retailers - Consumers.  
  • Three level Channel : In the three level channel, one more mediator is introduced between manufacturers and wholesales. In this channel, manufacturers to agents then to wholesalers then to retailers and at last to customers.  Manufacturers - Agents - Wholesalers - Retailers - Consumers.  
  • Online Channel of Distribution : In this the details and the product and services are made available online through blog, videos, websites, etc.
