Write a 400 word response defining what team work is. Along with the advantages and disadvantages of working in groups.

• Team work is a small group of people or teams to manage various products or tasks.
• Working in teams are both beneficial as well as challenging.

Advantages:-

• Working in teams helps in bringing out better quality and more creative solutions to problems.
• Team members can collaborately work to bring out the best solution.
• Members in a team can hold each other accountable and drive each other to more efficient work.
• Members of the team keep each other motivated and create competition to bring out the best.
• Team work can bring about collection of ideas and views from which the best tends to win out.
• Working in a team helps in learning experience.
• It helps in inculcating trusts and support among each other.
• There is an equal division of labor instead of burdening an individual with whole lot of work.
• Hence it requires less time to complete an effort.
• It helps to learn to look at things from a new perspective which might be more efficient in getting the task dull.

Disadantages:-

• Though working together results in better solution,workeams also experience conflicts with each other than working individually.
• It results in disagreement, frustrations,Jealousiness etc.
• All these create Inter personal conflict.
• Along with conflict with in work teams, conflict between work teams is a challenge by team work structure.
• Company leaders need to reward team work while Encouraging to get better goals.
• In times of crisis,team members start blaming each other.
• In a team work it is often difficult to tell where things went wrong.
• It is challenging to work in a team as it sometimes leads to unequal involvement and participation of different members.
• Working in a group which is disfunctional becomes a stress for all.
• Sometimes working in a team that has an overbearing an authoritative leader who is unwilling to listen to your point of view will be very painful more over when the leader takes the praise for the work that you have done.
