Water (1,000 kg/m3) flows into a 10.2 cm diameter, inlet pipe (a.k.a Zone 1) at a pressure of 1.671E5 Pa. The liquid then flows out of a 8.7 cm diameter, open faucet situated 1.6 m above the inlet pipe, a.k.a Zone 2.
a) Calculate the flow speed of the Water in Zone 2.
b) Calculate the volume flow rate of the Water
in either Zone.
Here in this question, we just consider the flow in zone 1 and zone 2.and applied the law of continuity equation as the discharge of flow in both zones are same and thereby found the v2 in terms of v1.then applied bernaullis equation and find the value of velocity at both zone and thereby volumetric flow rate or discharge of the flow.
