Well written and comprehensive description of the features that make a source in the social sciences credible for the purposes of research. This means when I cite a source, what criteria is used to determine the viability as a source to use in researching a social science issue as outlined in the first question.

A social is a problem that affects a large number of people within a society and is beyond the control of an individual. Although the United States is one of the richest countries with a strong economy, the US too faces plus point and negative points. After being a powerful country there are various types of social issues are present some of them are,1. Single Parent Households. This is a typical social issue where a single parent has to run the household, the result is there is less interaction with children, being a free society there is a great chance of children getting spoiled, childhood environment affect the adolescence and adulthood, as the unconscious mind plays an important role, the childhood anxiety or happy environment reflects. in the adulthood.

2. Drug and Alcohol Abuse The number of drug abuse is increasing at an alarming speed. There are children below the age of 12 who becomes drug addicts or they have smoked in the early age. It is partly due to the mothers habit too if she had the habit of taking alcohol or drugs the child born starts it at an early age.

3 Health Issues and Insurance; Due to the availability of fast and junk food combined with less physical activity there is an increase in obesity and health-related issues. secondly, the health insurance is provided only to the employed but the unemployed, part-time employed have to pay from their pocket for their insurance that is on a very higher side.  medical bills are one of the major causes of declaring bankruptcy in the US.

Growing up too fast: In a culture that stresses success, growing up too fast can have devastating effects on the children, there are more children with stress-related diseases such as ulcer at an early age, suicidal tendencies are on rising. there is an increase in teenage pregnancy and unmarried mothers.

5. Poverty; it is fact about 13 to 17 percent of the Us population is poor, the US does not have a proper definition of poverty, but it assumed it has the same meaning, how income relates to median income.

6. Unequal educational funding: The US government free education up to twelfth standard, the education system is controlled by the State Government and a very small amount is held by local government. The large affluent families are funded much more than less affluent families who have fewer children.

7. Unequal distribution of wealth: As a universal phenomenon in the US too unequal distribution of wealth is prevalent as privatization is increasing and it gives opportunity only to few who can afford it giving rise to an unequal distribution of wealth.

8. Illegal immigration:: Illegal immigration from war-torn areas or areas suffering from natural calamities have increased the burden on the economics of the society.

9.Cost of living: With the rise in inflation the cost of living in the US has increased, The working population makes more money and again spends more on living so many people find it difficult to fulfill their daily basic requirements. America has the lowest saving rate. Compared to any other developed country.

10. Crime; Due to discrimination and racism, there is an increase in number crime. Anti Muslim discrimination and hate has given rise to violence.

Besides these issues, there are many more issues like transportation, HIV/ AIDS, highway and automobile safety, climate change, child abuse, and molestation, Mafia war and gambling like any other social issue present in other countries America too is facing it but the scale of intensity varies.
