Paragraph explaining results – As we can see from the above ratings that Sylvia Metayer, as a leader, has the philosophy of leading others in a manner that will enrich the lives of the individuals on one hand and lead to development of a better organization on the other hand. Sylvia is a leader who focuses on her role as that of being a steward of the resources of the organization. By resources here the emphasis is more on the people resources and less on the material resources. Sylvia is a servant leader because she focuses her actions on serving and helping others i.e. employees and stakeholders of the company and while doing so she ensures that goals and objectives of the business is achieved. Stewardship is one of the underlying principles of Sylvia’s leadership and she ensures that planning and management of resources is being done in a responsible manner. As a leader she has a high level of commitment to the growth of people in Sodexo and in the growth of people whose lives are touched by Sodexo. She has a deep awareness of the situations in the organization and of the feelings of the employees. She empathizes with others in a tangible manner. Thus we can conclude by saying that Sylvia Metayer embodies and personifies the principles of servant leadership and the same is reflected in the ratings provided in the table above.
