Explain a significant difference between Google’s 2009 vision of the user interface of the Chrome operating system and the Chrome OS GUI we see today.
The Chrome OS from Google, it's free and open-source and it is based on Linux Kernel and top of the Google have built on some other stuff primarily the Chrome web browser so that when you fire up your Chromebook in Chrome OS, you basically get the chrome web browser that gives you instant access to all of your sort of services including email and access the documents on the internet.
The Advantages of Chrome OS:
The beauty of Chome OS is it's just based on what you can get over a web page, you can install Chrome extensions which will give lots of different things including some offline stuff which don't need internet and just work inside the browser, can get some gaming facility, etc. there are other features built natively Chrome OS for example as a file manager from which can access to documents, media, etc, can able to connect to VPN so can connect privately to the internet, Bluetooth support and so on. the amazing chrome extensions like VNC which connect to desktops, Windows remote desktops even can do secure shell connections to remote servers and this from inside the web browser. it also supports the Android and Linux app as well.

The Chrome OS operating system is fast and simple which combines for a really distraction-free working environment compared to Mac and Windows.
