Life skills such as self-awareness, conscientiousness, honesty, compassion, humbleness, generosity, impressive body language and respectfulness play a vital role in making a great manager. On the other hand, skills like active listening, effective communication, social awareness, trustworthiness, self management, relationship management, time management and crisis management are some of the management skills that help in leading a balanced and peaceful life.

Self awareness helps in assessing one's strengths and weaknesses thereby setting goals rationally. The tendency to remain organized helps a manager to prioritize his tasks and activities. Honesty increases credibility at work whereas humility makes you a desirable manager whom everyone likes. A compassionate manager is always respected by his team members. He is easily approachable. A manager who remains respectful towards others is always appreciated and team members collaborate with him.
