what are the differences between Renaissance work and baroque work
The two distinct period in the history of arts are the Renaissance work and baroque work. The painting and sculpture made between 1300 A.D 1600 A.D is taken s renaissance work. The baroque is considered to be flourished between 1600 A.D AND 1750 A.D. And considered to be European work of art. These two different terms are given to the painting and sculpture due to their identifying two different things regarding pictorial art: the historical era and the artistic style. The renaissance work started in Italy together with Paris. The baroque term is derived from Portuguese Barcoo that means irregular pearl or stone. Catholic-inspired Baroque art tended to be large-scale works of public art, such as monumental painting or large wall it depicts Catholic dogma.
Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci are two of the famous renaissance artists. Baroque times artist are not well know many of the Baroque artists have copied the work done by baroque artists.
The main difference between the two works is of style of the artists. In renaissance work the background is fully developed and is a part of the painting for example Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. This gives realism to the painting but while giving depth to their work they fail to give emotions that it should depict. The baroque work the background is usually blackened out and not much important is given, rather an angle is added to the art depicting energy and style and speed for example Star trek ship.
The example is statue of David by Michelangelo of Renaissance period shows an emotionless sculpture heading into battle of Goliath. Bernini of Baroque showed an intense David ready to fight the giant the Goliath.
