Expert Solution

1. Unionized organizations mean firms which allow the employees to form an association which consists of union leaders to support for a genuine cause.

2. Human resource department in any organization handles the most important functions in an organization like recruitment, training, performance appraisal, leadership, coaching and mentoring, career development etc.

3. Traditionally the role of trade unions was providing job security, protect earnings of workers, provide better working condition etc. In this era of HRM the said activities are consciously done by the human resource team itself. The HR team has come up with many strategies which focuses on the welfare of the employees.

4. Collective bargaining was an important concept in trade union where the union fought for employee benefits but now companies are more than willing to provide benefits for employees to retain them with the organization.

5. With all the comfort provided for an employee in organizations the trade union which was mostly known for strikes and protest has no role nowadays.

6. If a labor is ill-treated now they directly take up to the human resource management and try to solve the problem, if not they move to court to themselves, hence union is no use for these kind of employees.
