Corporate Social Responsibility in Walmart-
The Corporate Social Responsibility in in Walmart includes creating economic opportunity for employees suppliers and people who work in their company e and are part of the supply chain. The company enhances the sustainability of operation and product supply chain for the people in the company and the planet Earth. The company has taken several social responsibility initiatives such as supporting the local communities in UK and it has donated more than 10000 grants as part of the chosen program in the year 2014. The employees of Walmart in the United States of America had volunteered more than 1.5 million hours in the local communities in the year 2015. Walmart has also been involved in educating and empowering the workers. It has given grants of US dollar hundred million which will be used to fund the Walmart Foundation to accelerate mobility of retail workers, so that they can be promoted from entry to middle level skill jobs in their company. Walmart also regularly publishes the standard for supplier where it is specifies the company's expectation with the supplier in regard to the treatment and safety of the workers who are involved in the workplace. Walmart has regularly taken initiatives to to promote gender equality and minorities. 57% of the employees who are working in Walmart are women. Walmart Global women economic empowerment initiatives provides training and guidance opportunities to 1 million women .

McDonald's regularly works with the suppliers to promote socially responsible practice in its supply chain. In its initiative towards corporate social responsibility that company has its own code of conduct for the supplies which clearly describes how McDonald's expects its suppliers to treat Their employees in the workplace. McDonald's has taken several initiatives to improve the conditions for farm workers in Florida Tomato Industry in the year 2007. Which in return also promotes good environmental practices in its land based agriculture supply chain and it helps in making the form a sustainable business. McDonald's also donated a portion of of its pre-tax profit to philanthropy activities as a part of its efforts to be more socially responsible towards the society. The company has introduced a project Jagriti, which is a part of its commitment to provide education programs for good nutrition and feeding practices which will help in improving the nutrition and health. This program creates an enabling environment for best health outcomes involving a complete Healthcare system for all the people in the community. The company has extended its support to 1 lakh people living in slum conditions in Delhi to educate and encourage the support for good nutrition. The company has also been involved in clean drinking water projects and water awareness program across the seven states of India which has benefited more than 140000 students.
