Percentge of ionic character =(16* Difference in electronegativity)+3.5( Difference in electronegative)^2

The electronegative value of Na is 0.93, and the electronegative value of Cl is 3.16.

Substitute known values in the above equation to find the precentage of ionic character

Percentge of ionic character =(16* Difference in electronegativity)+3.5( Difference in electronegative)^2

= 16* (3.16-0.93)+3.5( 3.16-0.93)^2

= 16*(2.23)+3.5(2.23)^2

= 53.08 %

Therefore, the percentage of NaCl is 53.08%
