Howard Gardner's theory of Multiple Intelligence
According to Howard Gardner, there are eight types of
intelligence, and people might have different types of intelligence
that are described as follows:-
- Visuospatial Intelligence- People good at visualizing things,
good with directions, maps, charts, pictures, etc. Potential career
choices for such people are - Architecture, Art, Engineering,
etc.
- Linguistic-Verbal Intelligence- People good with the usage of
words, writing, speaking, reading, etc. Potential career choices-
Writer, Journalist, Teacher, Lawyer, etc.
- Interpersonal Intelligence- People who are good at interacting
and understanding others, good with assessing emotions, desires,
motivation, etc. Potential career choices- Counselor,
Psychologists, Politicians, Salespeople, Philosophers
- Intrapersonal Intelligence- People who are good at
understanding and being aware of one's own desires, motivation,
wishes, problems, etc. Potential career choices- Philosophers,
Theorist, writer, scientist.
- Logical-Mathematical Intelligence- People strong in their
mathematical and logical abilities, reasoning, recognizing
patterns, analyzing problems, etc. Potential career options-
Scientist, Engineering, Mathematician, Accountant, Programming,
etc.
- Musical Intelligence- People good with rhythms, sounds, musical
composition, performing, musical understanding, etc. Potential
career choices- Singer, musician, composers, music teacher,
etc.
- Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence- People who are good at body
movements, physical controls, performing actions, have good
eye-body coordination. Potential career choices- Dancer, Builders,
Actors, Sculpting, etc.
