Most, if not all, of the Canadians believe the government should provide an “adequate” level of public school funding. How might raising this level of “adequacy” actually lead to a reduction of overall (public and private) levels of educational spending in Canada? Explain with the help of a properly labeled diagram.
The education plays an important role in building better human resources, it is an essential requirement for personal development. In current era, education has become expensive and thus requires huge investment. In such a situation, it is expected from government to provide some sort of funding to cover up the education expenditure. It would help the people to get higher education and further create better human resources which would lead economy towards prosperity.
The government could provide school funding through
a) providing assistance in educational fees which could be payable in future.
b) providing direct grants to institutes, and limiting the fee structure course wise.
c) Providing scholarship.
Out of the above, the second one is optimal solutions as it reduce the existing education expenditure wiyhoiut creating any future liablity. The subsidised education encourage more people to attain higher education and thus creates skilled workforce.
And as the market mechanism works, increased demand will eventually generates more income. Thus, it would be advantageous for both (public and private).
