Time management refers to managing and organizing the time for achieving the goal in an effective manner, whereas lean management refers to continuous improvement in the processes in order to achieve the goal and satisfy the customers in an effective as well as efficient manner.
Time management is related to lean management as follows:
1. Reducing the unproductive time:
In both time management as well as lean management, we focus on how one can reduce unproductive time during the work in order to totally focus on our work without any hurdle and wastage of time and resources in an unproductive or wasteful activity which just increases cost and does not provide any further benefit.
2. Prioritizing activities:
In time management, we try to focus on prioritizing our time for some activities which are very significant and add value to the product. And if we talk about lean management also, then it also tries to prioritize activities that provide benefits and satisfaction to customers the most.
3. Speed:
Lean management tries to improve the system and processes regarding production in such a way that we provide or deliver the product to its end users or customers in such a manner that it is speedy and fast without increasing the working hours. In other words, we can also call it as effectively with increased productivity. Time management also focuses on that, and in this manner related to lean management.
