Therefore, if we want to deposit something emotional in another’s emotional bank account, then the transaction must be based on these four key factors. It means the person must have these key abilities to do this. Specifically, the ability to manage one’s own and another one’s emotions is crucial for depositing in other’s emotional bank. It simply means to influence the person through one’s own emotional understanding and management.
Social media can indeed make it difficult to feel good for another person’s happiness. When social media provide a powerful social comparison, we start to compare ourselves with the rest of the people on social media. Then it creates a challenging time to be happy for others. People under the influence of the powerful social comparison are not concentrated on the primary matter, i.e. the happiness of other people, rather they start diverting from it towards the social comparison. Further, it makes people anxious about their present situation which they underestimate in comparison with others.
