imagine a scenario where you are the owner of a medium sized business(150 employees) where the employees have expressed their displeasure regarding working conditions, long hours, retirement benefits, wages, and poor management. Identify at least 5 strategies you could implement to address the concerns of your employees and describe how these strategies would be implemented and by whom.

5 strategies to impove the employee motivation and engagement.

(i) Development of  a communication strategy by creating channels of communication for the employees to voice their concerns. It will eliminate the communication gaps and the problems arising out out of it.The public relations and communications department is responsible for it.

(ii) Critical analysis of wage policy of the company in comparison to the competitors. The revision of wages may be allowed if needed to remove disparities. Finance department and strategic management unit will be responsible for it.

(iii) Enact a policy of non discrimination and other aspet of workplace ethics. The employees must be commmunicated about the extent laws and resulations governing the workplace issues. HR will be responsible for creation and implementation of the same.

(iv) An analysis of workplace safety and health of the employees on internal level, in conformance with the OSHA and other regulatory frameworks, and take corrective actions to avoid liability and ensure health and safety of workmen. OPerations teams will take care of their respective departments in formulating and implementing the changes in co ordination with top management.

(v) A cultural makeover of the system by educating the employees about the ethos and guiding principles of the company, expectations from an employee towards upholding and observing the cultural attributes and its duty towards the organisation. It will be done by HR under guidance of top management.
