Organization's leaders currently use social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and many blogging to promote ethical behaviours among stakeholders and consumers. Many employers think social media can damage a healthy environment in the workplace. However, recent research shows that social media can be used by the leaders to promote the ethical aspects among people of the organization or in general.
Companies should do the following things to enhance ethical behavioural aspects among employees:
· Moderate intranet conversation group hosting: professionals can post stories, content, or questions in a format that allows the employees to comment on that, and they can provide their feedback.
· Sharing positive stories through video podcasting: organizations can nominate stakeholders or employees to select persons with a high level of integrity in their behaviour. This process may indirectly influence other employees to follow the same path of ethics and integrity.
· Company blog creating: blogging is the best way to promote ethical aspects among employees and consumers. The blog may contain commentary about the organization's value.
· Hosting internal webinars: webinars may help the employees to clarify their queries about the ethical compliances to their leaders.
· Sharing positive stories: large organizations regularly post positive stories, influential aspects, and good vibes through Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram etc.
