Public image of nurses in the social media and television is something which needs to be discussed with utmost importance and handled.

The image of a nurse in social media and television depends on variety of factors. There are both positive and negative images being potrayed.

Usually, in the views of general public, the image of a nurse in eavh individuals are an impression of their personal encounters while visiting hospitals when they or their relatives or friends are sick. This often tends to be impure as the hospital has many staffs other than nurse whom the patients and relatives will interact with an they'll think that they are dealing or talking with a nurse. So whatever impression they are having need not be essentially true.

On the other hand, in social medias and televisions the views of people are manipulated by people who post the contents.

Usually there is a large scale negative potrayal about nurses. Strating with televisiom movies which frames nurses as an underdog of Doctors and someone they can sexually exploit is very common in movies. This clearly creates a negative image in the minds of people.

Other common factor which is relevant in both social media and television is the fake newses. Like, for instance, when there are movements against vaccines, the healthcare structure is crucified and most of the blame are upon nurses along with doctors as they are the one's who are in close contact with the public. This also hppens when there are deaths of people which are blamed on doctors and nurses unnecessarily even though the doctor or nurse have done their best to save that man. These are taken to social media and are amplified.

Due to these reasons social media and television always undermeans the efforts and knowledge of a nurse.

There are also positive image. This usually is based on the risk they take. Like, when they take extra sacrifices like saving people when they are explosions and calamities by going to the spot or place of the explosion. These positive images are also largely appreciated in social media.

Another instance when there was a positove image being potrayed was during the recent covid-19 crisis. Nurses were largely appreciated for the risk they are taking as frontline defense against the disease.

Image of a nurse is often based on how they are potrayed in the social media and television because people usually tends to believe everything thatsnon the screen. This has negative and positive impacts which varies by time.
