As we all know that cellular networks covers a wide range or we can say a whole under its influence because cellular network or a mobile network facilitates a user with wide range of facilities and features.In recent years, we have seen tremendous growth of mobile networks and there are so many new technologies and features are added to the mobile networks and this is a ongoing process which will be continue in the future as well.
Now let us talk about all the new technologies and application that comes under cellular or mobile networks.As now we are working 3G nd 4G mobile infrastructure which provides a better support for mobile applications and devices.Now we are going to discuss about green network infrastructure for 3G networks within the 3G standard framework.This comes in practice particularly because the base station (BS) networks, consumes about 80% of overall energy in today's operational networks.This leads to large energy waste and on the other hand, each base station consumes a large portion of energy even at zero traffic, due to its supporting system (e.g., cooling) and idle communication overhead.So, to solve this problem there is a proposed system called as GreenBSN, a traffic-driven design to green BS infrastructure and it provides 53% of energy savings in dense large cities.The key insight is that, traffic dynamics is pervasive both in time and over space in operational 3G/4G networks, and such diversity opens a new venue for energy savings in large-scale cellular networks.
If we talk about the latest trends in mobile networks than this is 5G technology on which all work is going to be done.The telecommunication industry is at an early stage in the development of 5G.There is still much life left in LTE(Long-Term Evolution) networks – with a wide range of standards-compliant network features being developed by vendors and deployed by operators that improve the performance of LTE.But analysis of major trends by many in the industry has led to a consensus that evolution of LTE needs to be complemented with a radical change within the next few years in the fundamentals of wireless networks – a generational shift in technology and architectures and business processes – in order to ensure the industry continues to meet market demand for wireless services as they evolve, and to stimulate new economic and social development.
