what are your thoughts about how and why Training and Development can and should become a strategic business partner in large organizations where it might not have the visibility and influence that it should?
✓ training and development programs are the important activities to be undertaken by the human resources manager in every organisation. Training helps to improve the specific skill area and capabilities of the employees related to the job requirements. Development involves improvement of overall capabilities, behaviour and performance of the employees on a long term basis, to make them competitive and grow along with the firm.
Training and development needs to be considered as strategic partner or mandatory tools, must be used by large organisations since it starts it's business operations. Regular training and upgrading the employees efforts bring greater competitive advantage to the business.
Larger organisations, where training and development activities become invisible and lose the influence it should have on each member of the various departments, management must try to make it visible and effective by giving importance to it as an important function of the firm. Managers needs to decide and analyse the training needs, define problem areas, and keep on enhancing the skill they must make the employees ready to face future challenges and to tackle the environmental force's impacts with right training methods and development activities.
Large organisations have thousands of employees, who needs to be constantly trained and must be guided in a right way to enhance the performance of the entire organisation.
