Report on self-efficacy”&“Plan of Personal Development essay for a student
Self efficacy as defined by psychologist Albert Bandura is an individual's belief in their own capability to perform on a task or succeed in specific situations. A person's self efficacy therefore plays a huge role in determining how they will approach goals, objectives and challenges. Plan of personal development is thus a crucial element on enhancing the self efficacy of an individual, thereby ensuring an improved quality of work. Plan of self development could include working on a person's thoughts which may often be irrational and distorted. The corrective treatment of thoughts thus improves the belief systems that a person possesses. When the belief systems a peron holds are positive in nature, better choices and decisions are made as a result. Self work is thus an important element in enhancing the quality of work or output produced at an individual level. One's own self confidence and self esteem needs to be intact in order to provide effective output.
