answer-
Misinformation means false information which can be used in positive as well as negative manner. This is definitely true that misinformation is inevitable because We as parents tend to pass along misinformation to children in order to protect them and change thier negative behavior.
for example- We say to our children that if they steal anything then police will come and arrest them or Santa will punish them. This is not true but we provide them misinformation so that they correct their wrong action and behavior.
Misinformation passing helps in making sure that there is temproary peace, people are relaxed and our children remain safe. For example- Government may misinform public that there is less death in US due to Corona pandemic so that public would not get panicked but stay alert and proactive.
I am ok with those forms of misinformation which does not hurt us and other. Misinformation should be used to benefit the society and create peace even if actual information came out. for example- Children when they grow that Santa is actually not true but this information made children happy and their childhood was happy.
I am Not ok with misinformation related to religion, Caste, discrimination etc. We see that Many people have always misinform public that all Muslims are terroist which makes life of actual and innocent Muslims miserable. They are not able to get jobs in many places.
The line between acceptable and unacceptable misinformation rely on the purpose and means it want to achieve. There is very thin line but people has to make sure that they do not cross that line. for example- telling children that they will get arrested if they steal could be acceptable but telling children that if they steal then police will beat them, kill them is unaccepatble.
